Team Building |
|
Office groups and other organizations have discovered an effective way to increase motivation and improve group morale through the concept of team building. Here on the Eastern Shore, we have the perfect environment for creating a variety of stimulating activities that will bring your group together in a new setting, ready to work and learn together. Maybe you’d just like to take the whole gang on a field trip – a day away from the office or job site, a little fresh air, an opportunity to get to know one another better, have some fun, and learn some of the area’s history and ecology, to boot. We’ll show you how! Why not incorporate one of our fun activities into your retreat or conference agenda? Everybody will think more clearly and work together more efficiently after one of these outings! |

Scavenger Hunt Choose Easton, Oxford or St. Michaels as the setting for this challenging game of history, nature and teamwork. You and your team members will walk through the town, looking for items that are described by a list of clues and questions. An instant camera will be provided to photograph items that are not removable. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. |
Pub Crawl The Pub Crawl is the adults-only version of the Scavenger Hunt! This time, clues will point you to the taverns and pubs in town. Have a drink with your teammates before heading off on your search through the “town that fooled the British!” Prizes will be awarded. |

Survivor Wye Island Experience the thrill of a “Survivor Challenge,” Eastern Shore style! Your team is transported to the Natural Resource Management area at Wye Island and given clues to help you find your way. At the end of the trail, you’ll board the Express Royale for a cocktail cruise back to St. Michaels. Points will be tallied and prizes awarded en route.

Road Rally “Gentlemen, start your engines!” Once the green flag goes down, it’s a car race to the finish, over the roads of Talbot County (obeying local speed limits, of course)! Along the way, you’ll collect clues and information about the history and culture of Easton, Oxford and St. Michaels. Prizes will be awarded at the finish line. |

Nautical Scavenger Hunt This is an add-on activity for groups chartering the Express Royale. Teams are given questions relating to the ecology of the area and to conditions in and of the water. Prizes are awarded to the highest scoring teams. |
Amazing Race In another spin-off from reality TV, teams will race for the finish line in a game of physical and mental challenges throughout the town of St. Michaels. Clues and instructions will direct your team to various modes of transportation – bike, kayak and horse-drawn carriage – that you must use for each segment of the race. In addition, you will be assigned questions to answer about the history and nature of the town, certain items to collect and certain locations to photograph along the way. Prizes go to the team that reaches the finish line first with the most accurate answers. |
